Nordic Hemp in South-Korea

Nordic Hemp Cooperation in South-Korea.

Estonian food and beverage companies visited South-Korea to explore the business opportunities of the Korean market.
It was the second business delegation from Estonia organized by EAS – Enterprise Estonia

There were more than 40 B2B meetings between Estonian and Korean companies, followed by seminars and visits to the Coex Food Week trade fair. The trade fair took place between 2-5th of November in Seoul. There were more than 40000 global buyers and visitors over 4 days, who took part of the exhibition.

The journey included visits to several manufacturing plants, retail chains and meetings with different product category managers. We were given an overview of Korean consumer trends and good tips about entering Korean F&B market.

We were delighted to hear that Korean importers see that our tasty and clean products have a great potential in the local market.

The trade mission of the visit was to get a better overview of the local market and to ensure that Estonian products will continue growing on the Korean market.

From our point of view, the market has great potential, as hemp is widely known among distributors and it’s a growing trend. Estonian nordic climate is highly appreciated and the fact that traceability of our raw materials is complete is a sales pitch on it’s own. The visit to South-Korea for us was extremely positive, and we will continue to work on the Korean market.

Hope to see more Estonian products in Korea very soon.

Lot’s of great contacts and networking!
